The Most Beautiful Mama-to-Be | Through the Milestones with Luana

I’ve had the privilege of capturing Luana’s journey through some of the most significant moments in her life—her engagement, a boudoir session, and most recently, a maternity session as she awaited the arrival of her baby girl, Celine. As a photographer, there is nothing more fulfilling than being a part of these milestones, watching clients evolve and celebrating with them every step of the way.

Maternity shoots are a cherished subset of my Self Love Sessions, designed to offer expecting women a luxe experience that goes beyond just taking photos. It’s about celebrating this unique moment in your life and embracing the beauty of your changing body. When you step into the studio, it’s a full experience—complete with professional hair and makeup, creative direction, planning calls leading up to the day, styling assistance, and most importantly, a space where you can feel empowered and beautiful.

Luana, as always, came prepared with a vision for her maternity session. She wanted a mix of elegance and simplicity—a silk flowy skirt draped across the floor, a bouquet of stunning florals, a casual white tee with denim, and black and white fitted dresses for that ultimate editorial vibe. Each look was carefully planned to reflect her personality and the warmth of the studio added to the overall feel of the sesh.

I recommend to all my mamas-to-be that the sweet spot for a maternity shoot is between 31-34 weeks, and at 32 weeks, Luana’s bump was absolute perfection. We explored various poses, played with natural lighting, included some fun with flash, to capture both the intimacy and the strength of this moment. The studio’s texture, limewashed archways and warmth with pampas grass created the perfect backdrop, allowing Luana’s outfits to truly shine.

A solo studio maternity session isn’t just about capturing beautiful images—it’s about giving yourself permission to celebrate this moment, to revel in self love, and to create memories that you’ll cherish forever. Luana’s session was a testament to that, and I’m honored to have been a part of it.
