What to Expect When You Book a Photo Session with Me

When you book a photo session with me, it’s an experience. Whether it’s a self love focus, branding focus or a hybrid of both. So naturally, there’s a process. Let me break it down for you:

  1. Inquire

If you’re interested in booking a self love session with me, or simply want to learn more about it, I welcome you to “inquire” via my site. From here, you’ll be given a services guide that shares a bit about my two offerings: self love and branding (for the entrepreneurs out there, which btw, I do hybrids of in the case they like to mix in self love). You’ll choose which session type you’d like to learn more about and then you’ll book a 15 minute consult call with me.

  2. Consult Call

On this video call (you have the option for phone only too), we’ll meet each other, you’ll share a bit about what you’re looking for and I’ll share a bit about my process and pricing. You can decide on the call whether you’d like to move forward, pass, or simply think on it. Overall, the call is a chance for us to determine whether we’re a good fit, just like dating, ya know?

  3. Booking

If you’re ready to move forward, a $550 session fee is required to book and reserve a spot on my calendar. It’s a one-time fee that covers: a pre-shoot planning call, resources on beauty, style and inspiration, up to five hours at a stunning studio space of your choice, on-site glam across hair and makeup, the shoot itself, professional editing/retouching that keeps you looking like you, a photo reveal session plus lots of personal touches & handholding throughout. This is the only payment due up front, unless you wish to pre-pay for your images, as these are priced separately so you can choose a package that’s best for you. I have options across digital and print products — which I encourage all self love clients to consider. I’ve spent time finding the best luxury products from print shops around the world, in order to make your images truly last. The investment lies in the photo purchasing, which for reference I price at $300 per image. I’ve created collections and bundles to get this price per image down, and save. Clients can expect to spend anywhere from $1800 to over $5000. On average, clients spend $3,000-$3,500.

  4. Planning

Then comes the fun part — planning! I suggest all clients book their session at least 1-2 months out, sometimes even 3, depending on how much time is needed to properly save. You’ll receive a ton of hand holding from me when it comes to planning for your photo shoot. From a planning call, to countless emails and resources on style, prep, vision, etc. I love helping with styling and even offer to give you a virtual closet assessment, online shopping links or an in person shopping visit to one of my favorite boutiques or consignment shops.

  5. Shoot Day

The day of your photo shoot, you’ll show up over-prepared and super excited to the studio for your half day experience — getting glammed, sipping bevvies, allowing me to do what I do best. I add in little surprises and personal touches to make the day super special. Following our shoot I highly encourage taking yourself out for the eve so you can ride the high and enjoy your hair & makeup.

  6. Photo Reveal Sesssion

1-2 weeks following your shoot, you’ll be invited into my home office (with an option for a virtual) for a super fun reveal session (everyone’s favorite part). I’ll serve you a bevvy of choice and you’ll view a slideshow of your images and select the ones you’d like to purchase. We’ll go through each one by one, I’ll give you my feedback if you’d like, or you’re even welcome to bring a partner or friend to help. You’ll be able to view and touch the product options I have across albums, folio boxes, wall art, prints and more. You’ll decide how you want to purchase, what you want to purchase and you even can add on from your original pre-pay if you’d like.

  7. Products Delivered

Depending on what you’ve ordered, you’ll receive your digitals via a private online gallery and your physical heirloom products personally delivered by me (or shipped if that’s easier). Which you’ll enjoy for a lifetime! Until you decide to book with me again because you had so much fun you can’t wait to do it all over again ;).
